Women's Indoor League

The Women's indoor 6 a side got underway today with a brilliant match against Puddletown. Batting first Swanage got off to a perfect start with Niamh and Eden putting on 53 in their 4 overs. Some great running between the wickets being a highlight of their partnership. Jo and Pam didn't start off as well with a few early wickets, but soon found their stride and carried the score forward to 280 before Angie and Kayleigh hit boundaries to add to their quick singles to leave Swanage on an impressive 333 after their 12 overs.Puddletown got off to a similarly great start and the match was neck and neck throughout. Later wickets kept Swanage in the game, but the score kept on creeping up. The final over from Eden nearly took us to victory before Puddletown edged it on 337. A great performance despite the narrow lossIt all carries on next week with a return match against Puddletown and a game against Dorchester.
